Choosing from this range

Reformer accessories expand what a machine can do, but they vary enormously in how much they actually add. A sitting box roughly doubles the repertoire and needs no extra space; a jumpboard is excellent if you have 8 ft of ceiling and unusable if you do not.

Buying in order — box, pole, mat, then anything specialized — wastes far less money than a bundle bought up front. Most accessory packs leave two or three items unused.

What to check before buying accessories

  • Compatibility — boxes and jumpboards are matched to specific carriage dimensions
  • Ceiling height if you are considering a jumpboard (about 8 ft)
  • Non-slip base on any item that sits on the carriage
  • Padding depth on boxes, for comfortable prone work
  • Whether it addresses something your practice actually needs yet

Allegro Nextgen Accessories — frequently asked questions

  • What reformer accessory should I buy first?
A sitting box. It adds the entire long-box and short-box repertoire, needs no extra floor space and requires no ceiling height.
  • Are reformer boxes universal?
No. Dimensions are matched to carriage width and shoulder-rest spacing, so check your machine’s specification before ordering separately.
  • Do I need a jumpboard?
Only if you have about 8 ft of ceiling clearance and want low-impact cardio. Without the height it cannot be used safely.
